The Keys of the Kingdom

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.  Matthew 16:19

The last time I posted was on, Speaking Words of Life.  The topic covered how and why it is important that we do so in accordance with the Word.  This may sound somewhat confusing at first but you will see that all spiritual law works together just like natural law.   Actually, spiritual law too, is, natural law but on another level, the supernatural level.

So too, the keys of the kingdom of heaven, are super-naturally made keys which provide us access to the kingdom of heaven on earth.   In the opening statement from Matthew Jesus is talking about the power of a believer to, “bind and loose” on earth as it is in heaven.   To bind means, to forbid by indisputable authority or to loose means, to allow by indisputable authority.  The indisputable authority being God’s power behind what it is you are forbidding or allowing.  This coincides with speaking the word believing you have whatsoever it is you are praying for, as Jesus told us is possible.

And in that day ye shall ask me nothing, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.  Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.  John 16:23-2

In this verse Jesus explains that we are to ask in his name, using the same authority which is commanded under Jesus name.  He says you have not asked but you will receive if you do ask so your joy may be full.  This joy is the amazing joy which is brought forth when you realize that the very power of God, and God’s love which is the very essence of God since God is love, light and spirit is in you and connects us to one another!

Jesus too, taught us how to pray so we could receive what we desire.  The principles of the Lord’s prayer, reveal that we are to command the authority of heaven, similar to binding and loosing, “whatsoever shall be bound on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shalt be loosed in heaven.

When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Luke 11:2

The principles of prayer and binding and loosing are similar because you are calling for the power of God to be put in motion.  All of these require, “faith”, to manifest so one of the keys of the kingdom is certainly, faith!  Without faith the door to the kingdom of heaven remains inaccessible, seemingly locked.  Jesus told us this when he would perform a miracle and tell the other person involved that it is done unto you as you believe, that if you only believe, because of your great faith, in many varying terms he pointed to, “faith”, as being a key of the kingdom.

This faith is not only a belief, but having faith in your faith to do what it is you, say.  And how do we know what to say?  We ask according to God’s will because we see what His will is through the Word which reveals the promises, the blessings of God upon the believer.  So, the Word too is a key of the kingdom.  Therefore, you must have knowledge of what God’s word says.  This is not as hard as it may appear because we are told in Romans this;

The word is nigh thee. even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is the word of faith which we preach;  Romans 10:8

It then says how to receive faith further down the page.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.  Romans 10:17

This verse reveals to us that we must be able to hear the word of God to receive faith.  That is, our ears must be spiritually opened to receive this knowledge.  It seems at first a very simple statement but when you look at what is being said you then realize the depth of this statement!

Jesus also explains in the parable of the sower, how the word operates, that you must sow it to reap a harvest.  That is, you must get it down into your heart, the depths of your very being, believe it works, then allow it to grow, doing the work which it was spoken to do!

Now the parable is this:  The seed is the word of God.

Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.  They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy, and these have no root, which for a while  believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.  But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.  Luke 8:11-15

Another which eludes to how the word operates its here.

So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;  And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.  For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.  Mark 4: 26-28

Now, we have two of the keys of the kingdom, the Word, which is alive, and moves with power in the invisible realm; and faith, which makes all things possible.

Then we are told by the scriptures that we believers are engrafted into the tribe of Abraham which is a very big deal because, the blessing, was given to all the descendants of Abraham.  Look here!

Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not that that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all.

(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations.) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.  Romans 4;16-17

This is huge!  We too are blessed but not because of anything we did other than having faith, simply blessed because it is God’s good pleasure to bestow blessings on His children.  Glory to God!  This was all foreseen:

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen, through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nation be blessed.  So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.  Galations 3:8

So with love, grasp on to the keys of faith and the word, then you will know what avenue to pursue because you are ready for divine guidance.    For love is another key, without love it is not of God because God is love!

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.  1John 4:16

Until next time, may the keys of the kingdom bring you to new heights as you do heavens work here on earth with the power of God in you!  May we truly realize that all things are possible!  Light and love to all…

The Wonder of Christmas!

The Wonder of Christmas!

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph before they came together she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.

But while he thought on these things, behold the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph thou son of David fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife; for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Now all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

And knew her not till she had brought forth her first-born son: and he called his name JESUS.  Matthew 1:18-25

This wondrous season brings us into remembrance of the birth of Christ which was foretold by the prophet Isaiah.   This was an amazing time with many marvelous signs, angels, a star guiding the way to the Christ child, and not only the birth of Christ but his predecessor, the birth of John the Baptist also was occurring to a woman who supposedly could have no children.

During this time the Word was in force, as it always is, and you will be able to easily see why the Christ was born to Mary and Joseph and likewise why John was born to Zacharias and Elisabeth.  Often, in my writing I talk about the Word being alive and moving in the unseen, manifesting, bringing about circumstances because of what has been spoken, literally power in motion.

First, let us look at the account in Luke, which is the most complete, starting with the birth of John the Baptist.  It says there, this. about Zacharias and Elisabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.  And they had no child, because that Elizabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years. Luke 1:6  So, these were good, righteous people who were trying to live according to the precepts of God, Zacharias it says was even a priest.  It was while he was at the temple burning incense, a custom of the priest’s office, that an angel appeared unto him.

And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. But the angel said unto him Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. Luke 1:12-13

The scriptures go on to say that John, shall not drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb. And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. Luke 1:16-17

But Zacharias response was not what the angel Gabriel, or God, wanted to hear because it appears, he was in doubt of what he was told.

And Zacharias said unto the angel.  Whereby shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.  And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee,, and to show thee these glad tidings.  And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season. Luke 1:18-19

This scripture reveals a couple different important points.  As I have said repeatedly in my writing the words of your mouth bring about circumstances.  Jesus explains this in Matthew, that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. This is why  Zacharias was made dumb, so he could not speak because power is put in motion when you speak, either good or negative.  It was to show him and us that words have consequences. Contrarily, look at the response of Elisabeth and Mary and what they had to say.

Powerful women of God

Then, the scriptures say, And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying, Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men. Luke 1:24-25

Now, why did she say this?  Because at this time in history women were very low in social status and if you could not have children then your value was diminished even more among men, so Elisabeth was simply grateful.  Then scriptures say, in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth. To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David: and the virgin’s name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.  Mary, was troubled by this manner of salutation but the angel told her to, Fear not Mary: for thou hast found favor with God.  Then the scriptures go on to tell her about the son to be born to her and that his name would be Jesus.  Mary did ask how this could be since she had not been with a man.  The angel told her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee; therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. Luke 1:35

Now, look at Mary’s response to the angel and you can immediately see why she was chosen to be the mother of the Christ child.  Mary obviously had an amazing understanding of how the word operates for her words are filled with power and positive affirmations.  The angel goes on to tell her about her cousin, Elisabeth and how she had conceived a son in her old age and then tells her this:

For with God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37

This too, is what Jesus tells us.  Then Mary’s powerful response!

And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord, be it unto me according to thy word. Luke 1:38

So, Mary immediately had received this information as truth by faith.  She already sees herself as the handmaid of the Lord and says, putting power in motion, be it unto me according to thy word.  In our terms it would be, okay, let it be done!  This is a powerful statement because at that time a woman could be put to death for having a premarital relationship, even though she had not, to people it would certainly appear she had.  She did not question or fear but simply acted in accordance with the word given to her.  Then, the angel departed from her and it says Mary went to see her cousin Elisabeth.  The conversation that ensues shows both of these women were filled with understanding and the knowledge of God.

And it came to pass, that when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb, and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.  And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?  For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.  And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

This clearly shows in the last sentence that, believing, is an integral part of the equation.  Faith, puts God’s power in motion.  All the way back to Abraham, faith, is what puts God’s power to work.   Then, Mary responds:

And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.  For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.  For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.  And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.  He hath shown strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.

He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.

He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.

He hath helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;

As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.

Glory to God, this is powerful.  Mary did not say anything other than power-filled words, that blessed God, and by so doing, blessed herself also.  Immediately, you can see why she was chosen, but to be blessed she had to listen and believe!

Then Mary stayed at her cousin, Elisabeth’s home for another three months and Elisabeth delivered a son.

And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.  And his mother answered and said Not so; but he shall be called John. Luke 1:59-60

Now, this was huge because women as we discussed were of low social status at the time, so speaking out like this was a big deal.

And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name.  And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called.  And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying His name is John. And they marveled all.

And his mouth was open immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake and praised God. Luke 1:61-64

Then the Holy Ghost came upon Zacharias and he prophesied and glorified God, talking about the coming of Christ, the redeemer of Israel, and he said this about John.  And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins.

Mary and Joseph then had to return to his own city because of a tax decree from Caesar so they proceeded to go to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.  And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.  And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.  And the angel said unto them, Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord,  And this shall be sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Luke 2:7-14

Glory to God, this is a wondrous time of the year!  Of course, we must get past all of the commercialism and get back to the roots of the story, but when we do so we can truly realize how important this event truly is.

By faith, we too must accept what has been done for us and learn how to live in accordance with God’s precepts, truly loving God and one another!  The Christ went on to show us the way, to give his earthly life, because of his great love for mankind, fulfilling prophecy from many years before his birth.  But I marvel too at Mary and Elisabeth’s great faith!

May you all have a blessed holiday season!  Remember too, the word holidays came from holy days.  So, when someone wishes you happy holidays, remember, yes indeed, holy days they are!  Oh, yes, the wonder of Christmas!  Until next time, may you be filled with the power of God, loving one another and the Lord.  Merry Christmas!

Becoming One

I believe the scripture which follows this is one of the most important ones for us to grasp.  This is actually a prayer for us, that we would, “be one”, with the Father and the Christ, all of Us, one.   This is Chapter 25, from the book The Realm, on Amazon, at https://www.amazon.com/Realm-Daniel-Mears/dp/1973382334 and I believe it is very important information.  I also have added some to help clarify the importance of this, unity message.

This puts us all in life, together, not as individuals struggling along in life but, one, all of us together, in God and the Christ, one, together.  When we realize this oneness with God who is defined as light, love and spirit, perhaps we can grasp that there is supposed to be a realization of this, harmony, in our lives. Not only harmony, for there is no confusion or struggle in God, but power too, to overcome whatever obstacles are before us.  For if we are living, in God, and He in Us, along with the Son, who brought us this message at the expense of his earthly life, should we not at least put forth the effort to grasp the message? He is not asking us to go to the cross, that has already been done.  He just wants us to realize, to, “be one”.  Glory to God, what an opportunity for Us, to realize the Father and the Son are in Us and We, with them. Us too then, one, with one another, in love, for God is love. Obviously this too has to be found within.  For we are told the kingdom is within.  Here is the scripture and the prayer for Us.

“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.  And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one.  I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have love Me.

Father I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.  O righteous Father!  The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me.  And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

John 17:20-26

In the book of John, Jesus also repeatedly went over the point of us becoming “one” with the Father, God.  He implored and pounded this point home along with “loving one another”.  Obviously this was an imperative message he wanted us to embrace and realize.  If this was not an obtainable goal, to come to this realization of oneness, he would not have repeatedly hammered upon this point.   From a point of “Oneness” the power of God is released.

When the sick woman of the scriptures touched the garment of Jesus he was aware of the power being released and sought out the woman; he then told her it was her faith which cured her ailment.  How awesome is the power of God.  Jesus explains this power is available to us also through the Oneness achieved by truly loving God and each other.

Jesus understood the importance of retaining a positive mental attitude and was arguably the most empowered positive thinker of all time.  That being, he said “greater things will you do”; which means we too can be power thinkers.  Repeatedly throughout the scriptures he connected that you must believe; truly have faith to put the power in motion.

So, be loving, realize you have the power of God within you and envision the power in motion believing you have already achieved your goal and it will be!  Power set in motion, a positive loving attitude and faith.

The power of God is here as it was always, in the past with the men and women of God and with you.  The power of the invisible realm is as strong as ever; like a computer modem we just have to realize how to access the power.  We are endowed with the internal link, just be One with love, God, the power and realize you have the power!

Once we transcend the minimalist thinking where we are merely responsive to the world and realize how powerful we are when attached to the vine, One with God, then you will notice how events change when your thoughts change!  This is the power-filled mystery of God, that you can with your faith create from the unseen visible results, speaking new thoughts to life, the power of God through you manifesting as you desire.  Do only what is pleasing to the Father, Jesus is our example to follow.  We are only to do what is good!

God is greater but we are the drop of water in the ocean of God, the little circle within the large finding our identity which had previously been hidden to us.  All people have this capability of realizing the divine within; we cannot be separated except in our mind, then, it is how you believe it to be but only because of your own ignorance.  If you truly seek you will find.  Be loving and patient with yourself and others.  The spirit of truth will reveal all to you as you inquire within; believe you are a child of the living God!  When you do reach this point of realization you may find your purpose in life is revealed; loving one another brings a new, fresh perspective on what we want to achieve in life.  Helping one another to reach this abundant life may become your new goal.   Finding your purpose will be the next step of the adventure!

Until next time, light and love to all.  May your spirit be over flowing with the love of God, not only towards God and Jesus but towards one another! Be blessed!

The heart and the mouth

The Heart and the Mouth

The knowledge of God pt.3

I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

Jeremiah 17:10

There is an abundance of scripture about, “the heart and the mouth” in the Bible and it is not to be taken lightly, for it is part of, the knowledge of God which controls your very life.  What you say today and that which is in your heart, the very center of your being, will determine your tomorrows.  The Lord knows your heart, yes, it says, “searches the heart”, so nothing is hidden which shall not be revealed.

I have a horse at home so I know some stuff about horses, how to ride, saddle, all of the basic stuff.  So, the other part of the above scripture about, tries the reins, certainly speaks to me.  When you are riding a horse, you can tell exactly how they feel just by trying the reins.  You can let the reins slack and if they are angry or excited they are ready to bolt off, running like a wild beast, or if they are quiet and content, you can tell that too.  Their entire mood, their feelings from within are immediately known just by trying the reins.  So too, the Lord knows your thoughts, feelings, love or lack thereof, and gives back to us accordingly, reaping the fruit of our, “doings”.

In the book of James, in the Bible, he talks about the mouth like a bit in a horse’s mouth, which guides their entire body, able to make them obey or the rudder of a ship which can direct the path of a giant vessel. There is verse after verse about gaining, understanding and knowledge, learning to control your mouth, getting the word within your heart, a literal treasure trove of scripture on these topics throughout the Bible.  This understanding is, that if you incline your ear, that is, follow God’s way, loving God and each other and get this deep within your being, into your heart, then speak good things, you will be blessed!  Glory to God!

The words of a man’s (or woman’s) mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook. Proverbs 18:4

Another powerful verse which says it all, explaining the importance of words and finding understanding is here.

My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart. Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman.  Proverbs 7:1-4

These verses, bring great power to the believer and their importance are beyond measure.  Herein is the difference in having a great life, filled with the power of God, an understanding which brings you the most important knowledge you could ever latch onto, or living a life of struggle, wondering why!  When you speak, good or bad is coming out of your heart releasing supernatural power to bring about fruit, either good or bad.  So, control your mouth and only accept goodness, love, into your heart.  This is the knowledge and understanding spoken of in the scriptures but the natural man does not understand these things.  A natural man who only looks at what is seen, who is not filled with the spirit, does not understand.

1 Corinthians 2:14 says it this way, “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned.”

But you are filled with the spirit and if not then ask and it will be freely given, but ask in faith.  Live according to the knowledge and understanding which you now are taking in.  Then you will certainly be blessed!  Also, use your words to control your life; know that what you say, ask for, will be done.  For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: 1Peter 3:12  Until next time, be blessed!

The Word and the Blessing

The knowledge of God, part 2

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2The same was in the beginning with God.  3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. John 1-4

This same Word which I am speaking of and John the apostle was speaking of was present at the very beginning of the earth and the bible. This is the same Word which “spoke”, all things into being, created all things.  This is God’s supernatural power in motion, the Word.  This Word is not merely text on a page but actually, “power’, ready to be spoken, put in motion. The scriptures go on to say that this Word was the very essence of the Christ manifested as prophesied.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14

In the same chapter it says this:

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John1:12

So, why all this scripture about Jesus if this entry is about, the Word and being blessed?  Because the commandments that Jesus told us are the greatest, which all of the law of the prophets rest upon are these.  Love God with all of your heart and love your neighbor as yourself.  Another scripture, the one cited immediately above is not to be read without truly realizing what it says.  This little short verse is packed with power and spiritual blessing for if you receive him, who is the Word, the Christ who became One with God, it says he gives power to become the sons of God!  The above scriptures also point out that Jesus is the Word made flesh.  But why does it say the word was made flesh?  What does this mean, the word became flesh?  It means the very power of God which is, his word, was in Jesus, was the very essence of him and therefore when he spoke, God’s supernatural power was released! Then the scriptures say that as many as received him became sons of God!  Glory to God, this is powerful!  This puts Christ’s power, who is the very essence of the word, God’s supernatural power into you when you receive him.  This is a surrendering of our ego, realizing that it is God, the Christ who is now in us. When we realize this then we know that we have absolutely nothing to fear!  No longer are we at the mercy of the world but are walking with the power of God in us!  This is when we receive also the, “blessing”, which comes from being a child of God, one who is walking not by sight, but by faith as we discussed in the chapter on, Faith and the Unseen, previously.  This blessing is the blessing of Abraham and his seed, his descendants, which also includes those who have been adopted into the family of Abraham by faith.

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that shall curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Genesis 12:2

This blessing which is bestowed on believers is spoken of in Galatians. This clearly lets us know that we too are blessed!

Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness, Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen (Us) through faith preached before the gospel unto Abraham saying; In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.  Galatians 3:6-9

Since Abraham was blessed because of his faith, we too become blessed because we have believed and received the Christ.  Then later on in the chapter it clearly states, The just shall live by faith. Gal.3:11.

This is why Jesus came, to get the Jews back on track, to show that it is the faith of Abraham that established the blessing. He not only showed this to the Jewish people but also showed the gentile, people referred to as those not aligned with the Jewish doctrine of laws, that it is our faith which brings the blessings of God.  This should open the eyes of believers to the power of faith, but some churches have not taught that if you have sufficient faith, anything is possible, that the Word is the supernatural power of God, that Jesus is the Word become flesh, so if you have received him, you have the very power of God in you ready to do whatsoever!  Glory to God! This is what gives a believer power and peace; for if you are walking with the power of God in you, then when adversity comes and we are foretold it will come, you will be armed with the Word of God ready to be spoken, that is, released, putting the very power of God into motion! Wow, how awesome is this! The dunamis power, the dynamic power of God ready to move in the unseen creating the seen!  Until next time, love and light to you all!

Faith and the Unseen

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Hebrews 11:3

One of the most wondrous revelations Jesus brought to the people of the world is that faith changes everything!  He told us time and time again when he was performing miracles that it was the individual’s faith in the power of God which made these miracles possible.  All things are possible with God, Jesus said, but you cannot see God so how do we make this work?  We must act in faith.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hebrews 11:6

In these scriptures in Hebrews the writer is showing that faith is the necessary element to walk with God.  So, living by faith is absolutely mandatory to truly say you are a believer.  For it takes more than simply believing that God is real.  James says it this way.

Thou believest that there is one God: thou doest well: the devils also believe , and tremble.

James 2:19

So, a simple belief that God is and that Jesus lived is not sufficient to live an empowered life walking with God. No, we must truly believe, get the Word, down into the very core of our being, the heart, then we will be able to walk in faith and asking whatsoever, in accordance with what is good, lovely and right, it will be done.  This Word that I speak of is not simply the text on a page, a series of letters, but the very living Word, which is spiritual power set into motion.  This is the living water Jesus spoke of which shall flow from within once it is established in your heart.  This is another powerful scriptural concept Jesus explained.  He clearly said when he was explaining the parable of the sower that the seed is the word.  The word has to be established on good ground within you for it to grow, then it will grow like a mighty tree and you will be filled with the word which brings spiritual power.  Glory to God, this is a magnificent truth!  Once this occurs, filled with the word and faith, anything is possible.  This is when people become, “doers of the word”, as spoken of in James.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.  For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass.  For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.  But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.  James 23-25

This is what a real believer truly needs to be doing, being a doer of the word.   People who walk out of church unchanged, see you next week, kind of attitude are not grasping the spiritual power of the scriptures.  This is the man looking at his image and then forgetting what manner of man he was.  A person who receives the word, spiritual power in their life and then forgets what manner of person they now are, changed by the spiritual power within them is what James is speaking of here.  The word is spiritual power available to you and me, supernatural spiritual power!  Jesus said, greater things will you do because I go to the Father, paraphrased.  We are supposed to be walking in faith, with our ear inclined to God, that is listening to the still small voice of God within us, realizing that God Almighty, The Christ, is in us and we have the power of God available to accomplish His will.  What is His will?  It is what is good and loving, for God is love.  The scriptures say God is love, light and spirit and that God is in and through all things.  That includes us but many people walk according to the senses, that is according to only what the senses can perceive.  This is not living by faith.  Walking carnally, according to only what the senses perceive, is death.  You are already dead if you have no awareness of God and the spiritual realm.  Jesus referred to those as people having eyes that can’t see, and ears which do not hear, spiritually blind and deaf to the word.  So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.  Romans 10:17  There is an unseen realm where faith is substance.

Now FAITH is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1

So, once you realize that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him you are ready to move forward in faith and be a doer of the word.  The reward being God’s supernatural power in your life, ready to accomplish all things.  Glory to God, this is powerful!  This is available to you, right now!  This is the law of liberty James spoke of which frees you from the constraints of what appears to be.  What appears to be is according to the immediate senses, but we are working in the spiritual realm which changes everything, we are to walk by faith not by sight.  We must look beyond into the unseen, acting in faith, literally changing what appears to be into new circumstances, our petition to God.  This is the power of God, beautiful, majestic, awesome power!

I will go into the Word of God, which is spiritual power in motion further, soon.  It is important to get the Word of God deep into the core of your being, your heart, as the scriptures refer.  What comes out of your heart creates your life and circumstances.  This is a powerful spiritual truth.  Jesus said, by thy words thou shalt be justified and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Matthew 28:37 Earlier in that same chapter when he was talking to the Pharisees he stated this mighty truth, “for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things; and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.” This being so, means that what thoughts you have within you will create, will bring forth, what it is you are containing within you.  This is regardless of whether you believe in God or not, it is a spiritual, unseen law.  Of course, when you get God’s word within you, you are thinking on things of God, those which are good and lovely, which will bless others so you see why it blesses you too.  How amazing this is!  Until next time, may you be blessed!
