One Nation Under God!

One Nation Under God!

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy god will set thee on high above all nations of thee earth. Deuteronomy 28:1

This scripture points out the way a nation is set on high, by listening to the voice of the Lord, doing all of his commandments.  The greatest commandments being to Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and mind, Jesus said, and loving your neighbor as yourself.  It seems adherence to these two would cure all the ills of the world!  For if you loved God with all of your heart and mind, you would yearn to do His will and know that His word does not return void.

The Lord knoweth the days of the upright; and their inheritance shall be for ever.

They shall not be ashamed in the evil time; and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs; they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

The wicked borroweth and payeth not again; but the righteous showeth mercy, and giveth.

For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD; and he delighteth in his way.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.  I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.  He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed!  Psalm 37: 18-26

This is how we too become, “blessed”, by walking the path of goodness, doing good!  The next line of the Psalm states, Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.  For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved forever; but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. Psalm 37: 27-28

We stand in a difficult time in our nation with a plague pandemic upon us and a very contentious election where the country seems split down the middle.  Also, the news media has placed a cloak over the people’s eyes making it more difficult to find, the truth! Some will contest this point with me but it is really quite obvious and many are waking up to this fact!  It has come to such an extreme point that I am compelled to reveal the deception, as many are doing.

I have no idea how this election will turn out but I do know that regardless of who is at the helm, God is still in control!  If there have been improprieties they shall be revealed!

No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.

For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid that shall not be known and come abroad. Luke 8:16-17

For the believer, know this, God/Christ are with you!

Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God: I will help thee, yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

Until next time, may you all be blessed and at peace, filled with God’s wonderous love!  Study scripture, God’s word is filled with power which changes everything!

The Awakening of 2020!

The Awakening of 2020

Here the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. Hosea 4:1

This scripture is just one of many scriptures which reveals the real crux of the problem, a lack of spiritual knowledge, amongst the people which leads to their demise.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee.  Hose 4:6

But this is for the children of Israel, you may say, not for us.  On the contrary, in the book of Romans, the apostle Paul tells us this.

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart; that is, the word of faith, which we preach;  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek:  for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:8-13

So, this verse reveals that being Jewish is not a prerequisite to become, “saved”.  It makes absolutely no difference what, race, you are!  The Greek word translated into, saved, is the word sozos which means, to preserve, make whole, to be healed or protected, to be rescued from great peril.

This protection is a covenant between God and us, an agreement that we will do our part to retain this covenant, expecting then, by faith, that God’s Word is true.  This covenant puts us under the protection of the Living God which Jesus explains is with us if we are, doing, all that is required of us, including seeking God with all of our heart and mind, walking in love and light, because God is love and light.  So, we cannot truly love God/Christ unless we also love one another!

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest that they are wrought in God.  John 3:17-21

Yes, it is a lack of knowledge which causes humanity to react badly to plagues and riots, a lack of spiritual knowledge, to be in fear or to think somehow burning up another man’s belongings will further your own cause.  If people only knew and believed the Word of God.  Christ tells us, But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 In this instance he was speaking of provision but Deuteronomy also speaks of many blessings other than provision such as health and protection for those who have faith in God.  This is not mere fancy or ancient history, it is the word of God which endures forever, so is just as active today as in yesteryear.  This is Spiritual Law which is just as, “real” as any scientific law!  It is done unto you according to your faith, as you believe, Christ tells us over and over.  This is so also for the atheist!  We are living in a righteous spiritual system where it is done unto you according to what you believe, in your heart, the center of your spiritual being.  Whatever kind of seed you are sowing (thoughts and words) bring forth corresponding fruit!  This is Law, a seed brings forth its kind and likewise thought does as well.

O generation of vipers, (the radical Christ speaking to the Pharisees) how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things; and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

For by thy words thou shall be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Matthew 12:34-37

Then realizing that all physical things, those which are determined by the senses, first come from the unseen realm, the spiritual realm, we then begin to understand how this righteous spiritual system operates.  All begins in thought and then is spoken into existence, bringing what is your reality, into manifestation.  We bring our circumstances to us because of our beliefs.  Wow, stay with me now because this is real spiritual knowledge which can completely flip your life upside down, in a good way if you realize that all things which are, begin in the unseen!

This is the huge breakthrough moment for one who’s eyes have been opened.  You are made in God’s image and are constantly creating your reality by how you think!  Christ tells us how to be one, with God and him, which we are, One, all of us, One! Once we align our thinking, in love, with God, and do what Christ said, seek the kingdom, internally, with all of our heart and mind.  Then God, will guide you into revelation so you can see how all of God’s word works perfectly together and begins with, faith!  Faith is not only faith in God but whatever you have faith in.  This may be faith in something good or may be fear of something bad which is also a type of faith, what you believe, which brings corresponding action.   This is why we are instructed, to fear not, neither be dismayed; it is for our protection.

We are told to look to the unseen and not the seen, to walk by faith and not by sight.  More and more people are turning to God in this time to find understanding so it is important that we help where we can, it is an act of love.

Yes, many people are questioning what is truly important in life, turning to God and his word, seeking answers to the deep questions of life, so I see this period of time as an awakening of God’s elect, a great time for spiritual revival! Now, is the time to arm the people with the knowledge of God so that they too may be overcomers! The fountain of living water, the Christ beckons to all those who are weary and heavy-laden, his word is filled with power which liberates, heals, protects and blesses the believer! Glory to God, may we let the light shine to remove all darkness and truly bring heaven to earth!

Until next time, may God pour out His abundance, love and light upon you all!  May you be blessed and empowered!

The Message of the Resurrection

The Message of the Resurrection

I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. John 6:51

When the Christ gave up his flesh, he was not giving up his life!  He was giving up his earthly life, his flesh it says here, from his own words. We know that it was not his, “life”, because he was resurrected and so proves ever-lasting life is a reality.  He was doing so because he loved humanity, he literally, was love, you could say, because, God is love, (1 John 4:16) he was one with the Father, he tells us so here, I and my Father are one. John 10:30. He could have went off and lived his earthly life, saying these poor saps just don’t get it but he didn’t.  Instead, he went to the horrific, humiliating, painful death on the cross, for us!  Wow, that is real love!

So, what was he trying to tell us when he said, “I am the living bread”, and, “if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever”?  He certainly wasn’t talking about the kind of bread you bake, you can not take it this literally.  He explains it a little further on in the book of John here.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing;  the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.  John 6:63

This brings some clarity to what he was saying.  For here he tells us that the words he speaks are spirit and life!   His words which he was speaking, what he was telling us was how to literally, be one with the Father, the creator who breathed the spirit of life into us.  If you remember in Genesis it tells us, And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth…So, we were created in, his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.  And God blessed them…This is something we must remember because the scriptures in their entirety actually do give us a clear understanding so we may obtain the spiritual knowledge which is necessary to actually be one as Jesus prayed that we would in John 17:21.

Paul too, mentions that it is God or the Spirit which, shall also quicken us.

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body ye shall live.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that

we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.  Romans 8:10-17

This is why all things are possible, for we have been reconciled through Christ if we believe what he says.  Jesus explains it through the analogy of the vine.

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye except ye abide in me.

I am the vine, ye are the branches:  He that abideth in me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit for without me ye can do nothing.  If a man abide not in me he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.  Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you; continue ye in my love.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as

I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.  These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.  John 15:3-14

As you know and I have said before, a branch is not separated from the vine but is part of the vine.  The same life force is flowing through all of the branches, feeding and nourishing the entire plant!

Christ went to the cross so that we might have life!  With God and Christ in us we realize that we are a new creation!  All old things have passed away and we are filled with the power of the Living God!  This is why whosoever…shall have whatsoever he saith.  It is not some great feat of will power or because we have done anything deserving other than having faith in God and His son.  It is God who is doing the mountain moving!  We are simply believing in what Christ said, doing as commanded.  Glory to God!  How amazing is the Living God!

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:23

In Zechariah it was said this way..

Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.

Zechariah 4:6

Until next time, may you all be abundantly blessed!  May we all walk in love, abiding in Christ and the Father, knowing his Life is in Us!  May we all, be one!  Happy Easter to all of you!

Traversing the Storms of Life

Traversing the Storms of Life

And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.  And behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with waves; but he was asleep.  And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us; we perish.

And he saith unto them,

Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?  Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. Matthew 8:23-26

In the last couple of months our household has suffered through some severe storms.  My wife was terribly ill and had to be hospitalized.   Her mom, who lives with us and is 94 was also hospitalized shortly after my wife returned home, still very weak, then my dog, a 3 year-old German shepherd quit eating and after taking him to the vet we discovered he was in renal failure.  I felt as though I was riding a giant ocean wave and was waiting for it to break, not knowing if I was going to be able to ride it in smoothly or if it was going to hammer me into the ocean floor.  I prayed some nights continuously, late into the wee hours of the morning making certain that the word of the Lord penetrated the very depths of my being!

Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God;  I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.  Isaiah 41:10

The Christ tells us over and over in the scriptures to, fear not, only believe, have faith and this:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to my Father.  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.  John 14:12-14

I did not write for quite some time because I had to wait to see how things would turn out but thankfully all seem to be recovering after weeks of prayer and medical attention.  I thought I had lost my dog one night, he was so incredibly ill, he was having tremors and very close to death.  I prayed with my wife, who was still very weak herself, for she too had narrowly escaped death, for my canine friend who appeared like he would not make it.

It is a wonder that he did start recovering, the vet even seemed astonished when we returned the following day and his blood test numbers were starting to improve.

Sometimes people wait until the storm is upon them to turn to God and it is good that they do seek Him. But if we know how spiritual law works, are walking in faith, abiding in love and doing the word, then we will be better prepared to traverse the storms of life.

Thank God, literally, that He did not leave us defenseless in contending with the storms of life.  This is why Jesus was asking the disciples, Why are ye so fearful, in the opening scripture verse.  Then He spoke to the storm, and there was a great calm.  We too, are instructed to speak with faith, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray,

Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, (verily, meaning I absolutely know these things to be true, have witnessed, demonstrated, from the Greek/Hebrew) That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.  Therefore, I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.  Mark 11:23

God’s Word is, the fountain of living waters, which gives sustenance to all who receive; the Word creates, changes circumstances and is filled with Power!

O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters. Jeremiah 17:13

Early on in the book of Jeremiah, the prophet tells where Israel fell astray.  He points out their faithlessness as being the primary cause.

For my people have committed two evils, they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.  Jeremiah 2:13

The Lord knows the heart, the center of our being, our mind, and gives everyone accordingly the scriptures tell us.

I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.  Jeremiah 17:10

Jesus is literally the Word incarnate it tells us in the book of John and therefore it should be no surprise that He is filled with living water which he gives to us through his word.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men. John 1:1-4

So, clearly we see that the Word has always been.  In Genesis, God spoke and it was done, creative power in action.  Then we see from the very beginning the acts of faith by Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses who led the people of Israel out of Egypt.

Further on in the book of John the scriptures give us powerful insights into who Jesus was and why He came.

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God ,even to them that believe on his name; (Us).

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:10-14

Jesus is literally the Word, filled with power and living water!  He speaks of this living water with the Samaritan woman when they converse by the well.  Note, speaking to a woman in that day, a Samaritan woman especially, was something that the Jews did not do in those days.

Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria?  For the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?  Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:  But whosoever (including Us) drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst, but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.  John 4:9-14

Therefore, we too must consume this living water, the Word of God which is God, then we too will have within, a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Glory to God, how powerful His Word is!  So, how is this done? It is done by faith, believing his Word, receiving Christ, who is the Word and looking to the scriptures so that we may have knowledge and understanding.

But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.  Deuteronomy 30:14

We are instructed to do the Word, believing the scriptures and Jesus. For lack of knowledge is what destroyed the people of Israel when they fell away from God, which was written in the book of the prophet, Hosea.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee.  Hosea 4:6

We are the people of God if we believe the scriptures and receive Christ the anointed.  Then this anointing is upon the believer, an anointing of the Holy Spirit which teaches us all things because we are made in the image of God!

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you; but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.  1 John 2:27

Jesus tells us that He is the vine and we are the branches and also tells us that He is One with the Father.  If indeed we are the branches attached with God’s life force, the Holy Spirit, in Us, then we too have the power of God flowing through us; for a branch is not separated from the vine but is part of the vine.  Certainly, this is a realization that we must grasp.  This is why we are not to fear when the storm hits or calamity befalls our house.  God is with Us, we are in God and He in Us!  Glory to God, how powerful and awesome is our Creator!

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Abide in me, and I in you, As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye except ye abide in me.

I am the vine, ye are the branches; He that abideth in me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit for without me ye can do nothing.  If a man abide not in me he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.  John 15: 3-7

This is how we glorify the Father, by doing his will and keeping the commandments.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.  These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.  This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.  John 15:10-11

God is love, it says in 1 John 4:16 and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him, so we must realize this, abide in love, have faith and also realize that he hears us when we ask.

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

And if we know that that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

1John 5:14-15

If we are abiding in love this will fill our heart and mind with goodness.  Then when we think and speak, good things will come forth blessing others around us as well as ourselves.  I have written on the “Heart and the Mouth”, previously, and I will make sure it is easy to find on my blog.  We want to speak good things at all times not just when the storms hit, but keeping fear out of our heart and speaking the Word will help us get through the storms of life.

Part of the knowledge of God is understanding that what comes out of your heart affects circumstances in life and the words we speak do as well.

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings,

Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.  Proverbs 4:20-24

In closing, I do realize that sometimes tragic events occur and loved ones pass suddenly, or even when we are praying fervently.  What I say to that is, we do not know when the appointed time is for a person to pass so we must remain in faith, speaking the word with an expectancy that we shall be delivered.  I thank God that we were delivered from this storm!

Until next time, may the Lord protect you through all of the storms of life and may you all be blessed abundantly!  May the love, light and Spirit of God fill us all to overflowing, so we may be a blessing to one another as we pass through this amazing adventure called, life!

Happy Holidays: The Glory of Christmas Revealed!

Happy Holidays: The Glory of Christmas Revealed!

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John1:14

May your holidays, which literally is derived from holy days, be filled with joy this season and may the Lord fill you with His wondrous Spirit!

In the above scripture John, who was with, the Christ, meaning the anointed one, on the holy mount along with Peter and James during the transfiguration of Jesus speaks of beholding his glory. In Matthew’s gospel he tells of it here:

And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them; and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. Matthew 17:1-2

Jesus came preaching a radical new doctrine to the Jews who had many rules and laws about conduct in their law.  But he showed them with their own scriptures that there was a much deeper meaning in the Word of God. John says in the opening verse, above, that, the Christ, was literally the Word made flesh!

Jesus is literally, the light of the world, it says in the scriptures and this is easy to understand when you know God is love, light and Spirit! When the Christ became transfigured it was because he was filled with the Light of God, One with God!  He tells us he was One, in John 17 and there he prays, first for his disciples and then for us; that we too may be one with he and the Father.

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.  And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them, that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Glory to God!  It is no wonder all things are possible if one is literally, One with God and Christ!  Jesus tells us clearly, with God all things are possible, in Matthew 19:26 and he also gives a great deal of instruction about, faith!

Everything in the kingdom of God works by faith.  Christ tells us over and over that we must have faith, it is done unto you as you believe, to only believe!  In the book of Mark, after Jesus had cursed the fig tree because it had no figs on it, the next morning Peter who was with him at the time noticed the tree had dried up from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. And Jesus answering saith unto them,

Have faith in God.

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them. Mark 11:21-24

Jesus was showing Peter how faith operates, that you must speak whatever it is you desire, believing that what you say shall come to pass, without doubting in your heart, the center of your very being! Then, when questioned by Peter he clearly tells him how to speak the word, to have your desires manifest by faith!  Telling him, he also tells us clearly that it is, whosoever shall say!

This is powerful instruction on how the kingdom operates by faith!  Christ also tells us in the, parable of the sower, The sower soweth the word. Matthew 4:14 The word is the very Word of God, which includes knowing God is with you, receiving Christ’s words because he is speaking the Word of God, having faith, loving God with all of your heart and mind and others as you would yourself. Plus, listening for the Holy Spirit to reveal all things to you!  Then when the Word is sown on good ground, which is in you, a receptive person, it accomplishes this:

And these are they which are sown on good ground, such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? And not to be set on a candlestick?

For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.

If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. Mark 4:20-23

So, we are not to simply take in the Word and do nothing with it.  We are to take it in and then let it manifest good fruit!  Knowing God is with us makes all things possible, plus doing his word, abiding in love, having faith, speaking the word, believing that which we speak shall come to pass, then the power of God will truly be released!

The Holy Spirit will guide us if we allow it to and believe in Christ! Believing in Christ is good but He tells us, And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like:

He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock; and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. Luke 6:46-48

So, he expects us to not only believe in him but to do what he says!

The Word of God is filled with power and the Christ has given us instruction on how the kingdom operates.  He also tells us where the kingdom of God is found.

The kingdom of God cometh not with observation.

Neither shall they say, Lo here! Or, lo there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Luke 17:20-21

This holiday season is upon us, and a glorious season it is but the real glory is found by looking beyond the superficial seen world to the wondrous realm of the unseen! The real glory of Christmas is revealed by accepting Christ and his teachings and doing them!

Until next time, may you all be blessed and may we all truly be filled with the Spirit this season!

Overcoming the World!

Overcoming the World

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

In this chapter, Jesus is preparing his disciples, telling them he is going to be leaving them.  He knew he was going to the cross and would be resurrected and he tells the disciples that the, Spirit of truth, which is the holy spirit will guide them and show them things to come.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth; for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak; and he will show you things to come.

He shall glorify me; for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.  All things that the Father hath are mine; therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you.  John 16:13-15

At the end of the above scripture he is explaining to the disciples that all things that are the Father’s, are also his.  This is a very important concept because in the following chapter he builds upon this, explaining he is one with the Father and prays we too may be, “one in us”.

Neither pray I for these alone, (the disciples) but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; (us) That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one; I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.  John 17:20-23

This scripture, I have referenced previously because it is one of the most powerful verses in the entire Bible, because once one realizes the power of this statement,  then it is possible to receive understanding about, why, all things are possible!  Then you understand why Christ had overcome the world, He realized his oneness with God!  He also prayed we too, may be one in us; that is, God, Christ and us, one.  Glory to God, this is a wondrous realization!

John, Christ’s beloved disciple, who was also present at the transfiguration and many miracles mentions how to overcome the world again in some of his later writings.

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.  By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments and his commandments are not grievous.

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

He also went a step further and tells us we too have this anointing abiding in you.

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you; but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

 1John 2:27

This anointing abiding in us transforms us into a new creature, teaching us how to become righteous, which is being in right-standing with God!  John tells us more here:

Little children, let no man deceive you; he that doeth righteousness is righteous even as he is righteous. 1John 3:7

Being righteous is knowing that God/Christ are dwelling within you, believing what Christ said and doing what he said!  If we truly believe in Christ then we will do what he said!

And why call ye me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Luke 6:46

The term Christ, comes from the Greek word, Christos, meaning the, “the anointed one”, or the, chosen one, chosen by God.  The Hebrew equivalent, is the word, Mashiach, the Messiah, the anointed one, an act of consecrating one with holy oil.  In this case, anointed by God! In the scripture above it is telling us that if we believe He, Jesus is the anointed, and love him, then we also love the Father.  But we also must keep his commandments, which he says are not grievous, not difficult or causing pain, for the main commandments which are above all of the others are simply to love God with all of our heart, (Jesus said, all of our heart and mind) and to love others.  This makes perfect sense since in 1 John 4:16, the scripture tells us, God IS love!

So, when we believe what the Christ said, If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciple. John15:7-8  then we become aware that God’s power is with us!  Jesus was one with the Father and tells us this and he also told us that he only spoke what the Father told him.

God’s word is filled with power and all through the scriptures there is a great emphasis about the words we speak.  We must realize that the word’s we speak are creating conditions in the unseen.  More than that even, our very thoughts matter for we are told, I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17:10   The Christ too tells us that just to think negative thoughts is sin, missing the mark.  He tells us over and over that it is done unto you as you believe.  So, living righteously, in right-standing is an entire belief system.  Not only must we believe in the Christ, but we must do what he says, understand what he was saying, have faith, love in our heart, the center of our very being!  This is how we overcome, by putting God’s word in our heart and in our mouth, believing in the power of God, his Word, believing Christ!

God is with us; the scriptures tell us this over and over, but we must believe it!

Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.  Isaiah 41:10

Glory to God! Once we understand that we are living in a righteous system where it is done unto you as you believe, regardless of whether one knows it or not, then we can grasp the Christ’s words, believe what he says and do it!  We have the scriptures to help us gain knowledge and understanding to overcome the world but we must believe!

Until next time, may you all be blessed and filled with the power of God to overcome all adversity, to overcome the world!  May we all walk in love, help one another, realizing all people do not yet understand, so we must be patient and filled with the Spirit!

God is Spirit!

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.  And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the water.  And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Genesis 1:1-3

This, continues a series on the attributes of God.  Previously, we discussed that God is light and love which are all part of God.  This is not to take away from the Trinity which is the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit all of which also are God.  In the book of John, he writes about Jesus being the Word of God, which makes the Word part of the Trinity, the threefold nature of God.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

John 1:1-3

John then tells us that Jesus was the Word in the flesh.  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.  John 1:14

So, the Word and the Spirit are both attributes of God which go all the way back to Genesis, the very beginning.  Man’s spiritual origination also goes all the way back to the beginning as we discover in Genesis.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Notice also that it says, let US make man in OUR image, this is showing us that God is more than one but is the Father, the word and the Holy Spirit!  Everything we see is done by God speaking the Word, then his Spirit moves and it is done!

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.  And God blessed them.  Genesis 1:26-27

We, the scripture says were made in the image of God! Man was made with a spirit, as indicated below and we also have the ability to love. Not only that but what we think and say you will see truly matters, it manifests in our life!

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.  Genesis 2:7

In the above scripture reference the word for the, “breath of life”, in Hebrew is, ruach, which literally means, spirit.  So, God breathed the breath of life, spirit, into man.  This is very powerful to know for the Spirit of God is literally, life, truth, the power of God.   But man lived according to what only his physical senses showed him or her, not realizing that there is a connection we can make which brings real life and power to the believer.  Jesus said that all we have to do to receive this Spirit, to make contact with His Spirit, is to ask.  He also instructs us that when you ask, BELIEVE you receive!  No matter what we pray for we must believe we receive our petition, what we ask for, because everything in the kingdom of God works by faith.

And I say unto you, Ask and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.  For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.  If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?  Or if he shall ask an egg will he offer him a scorpion?  If ye then, being evil?, know how to give good gifts unto your children; how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?  Luke 11:9-13

Then Jesus explains to us that what we have in our heart, on the inside of us, what we think, believe and speak,  brings about those things which manifest in our life!  This is huge because when we go back to Genesis the same principle applies to how God operates and creates.  The Spirit was hovering over the waters, then God spoke and what ever He spoke was created.  We are made in the image of God, we are not God, for even Jesus said, The Father is greater than I. John 14:28 but he was One with the Father.  So the spiritual principles working in man are those of the Father, his Spirit is one with our spirit when we are connected to the vine.  So what we think, believe and speak manifests in our life!

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things; and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.  But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement.  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Matthew 12:35-37

This is why we need to be filled with the Spirit!  When we are filled the Spirit of God, which is real life, love, truth and power then we are living in accordance, in harmony with God.  Then, we can truly live the abundant life!  This is living righteously, in right-standing with God, knowing that God/Christ are in us.  The apostle Paul said it this way.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba Father.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:  And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.  Romans 8:14-17

Jesus said, I AM the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman, Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away; and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.  Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you,  Abide in me, and I in you, As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.  Then he repeats it a little differently so that we are sure to truly understand and it contains a promise! I am the vine, ye are the branches;  He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit for without me ye can do nothing.  If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.  John 15:1-7

Then later he goes on to say, If ye keep my commandments ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, (the fruit of the Spirit is joy, love, peace and power) and that your joy might be full.  This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

God is love, light and Spirit and the word is filled with power which is released through the Spirit!  Jesus tells us that if we abide in him, who is one with the Father, we will be like a branch on a vine.  The branch is not different from the vine but has the very same life force flowing through it.  This is amazing!  This is where we want to be, one with the Father and Christ speaking the word of God for it is written, Through faith we understand the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Hebrews 11:3  This shows us that the Word and the Spirit, in the invisible realm is what makes, things which are seen, they were not made by things by things which do appear.  So, we must do our work in the unseen spiritual realm, believing, acting in faith, receiving the Holy Spirit!

So, how do we do this?  We ask, believing that we receive in faith, and do what He said, love one another, love God, who is love, light, Spirit, and the word,. Yes, we must abide in love, for God is love and his Spirit connects with our spirit. In the scriptures it says this about the word.

The word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. Deuteronomy 30:14

The scriptures also tell us this about the kingdom of God.

The kingdom of God cometh not with observation; Neither shall they say, Lo here! or lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.  Luke 17:21

We are wonderfully made in the image of God, that is why this is possible and Jesus shows us the way, IS the way!

Until next time, may we all walk in the Spirit and love!  The Father is love and we are commanded to love.  Jesus, being one with the Father, prayed in John 17:21 that we too would be one, That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me , and I in thee, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou has sent me. We are Gods ambassadors and are to do his will walking in the power of the Spirit!  May you all be truly blessed!

God is love!

We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us.  Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.  1John 4:6-8

Last time we spoke about God being light, which comes from the first chapter in the first epistle of John which is quite amazing since this light certainly seems to have manifested in the Transfiguration

And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them; and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. Matthew 17:1-2

Jesus also spoke of being, the light of life, here:

I am the light of the world; he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.    John 8:12

But here is a second attribute, characteristic or more accurately, the very essence of God, love!  In John’s first epistle he goes on to talk a great deal about this.  He wants us to realize that God is love, so to know God, we too must love.

If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.  Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.  And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.  Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.  And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us.  God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.  1John 4:122-16

This brings us to a deeper understanding of who God is and what if anything is required of us as believers.  A person may refrain from engaging in bad habits but still be missing out on a relationship with the Creator simply because of a lack of love.  Love, is God, so to be in God, we too must love not only the Father but others also.  The scriptures write about this too, in pretty blunt and clear terms.

If a man say, I love God and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?  And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.   1John 4:20-21

Jesus clearly stated this commandment, loving one another in the synoptic gospel of John many times, not just once but many times so we would clearly understand.

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. John 15:12

The Christ also connects a promise to these scriptures.  Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. Then he gives us the commandment again.  These things I command you, that ye love one another.  John 15: 16-17

So, this commandment to love is also connected to the promise that, whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.  Earlier on in the chapter he says something very similar to this but even more powerful as we see here.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.  Then the admonishment again, If ye love me, keep my commandments.  John 14: 12-15

These powerful, dynamic verses show us what it is to be a Christian!  Without love it is all futile.  This is why Jesus came, to show us the way to the abundant life.  Prior to his coming it was simply do’s and don’ts of the law.  This is true still with some believers today.  They may not drink or smoke but where is the love?  Without the love it is just a health club, it may be good for you but it falls way short, missing the mark, which is exactly what sin is, missing the mark.  So then, what is the mark?  What is the goal?

The goal, the mark we are aiming for is to, be one with the Father, Christ and one another, all of us one!

That they all may be one, as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: John 17:21

Jesus used the analogy of he is the vine and we are the branches.  He said, I am the vine, ye are the branches;  He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit for without me ye can do nothing.  If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them and cast them unto the fire, and they are burned.  If ye abide in me and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.  There is that promise again.  Then he goes on to say, Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.  As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.  Then the commandment again, If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.  John 15: 5-10

Realizing that God is love, light and spirit gives us new powerful insight into the kingdom of God.  We are told to seek first the kingdom of God but when we think of this kingdom as one of light and love then we gain understanding.  Look at how the perspective may change when you say seek first the kingdom of light, or seek first the kingdom of love.  Since God is love then we understand why we must love.  A vine branch is of the same substance as the vine.  It is all alive and inter-connected.

We too are to realize our inter-connectedness, our oneness with God and one another. To do so we must love!

Until next time, may we all love one another, lift each other up and share God’s love! Light and love to all…

God is Light

God is Light!

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1 John 1:5-7

There are many references in the Bible about God and light which help explain the relationship we are seeking, a oneness with God!  There are also references explaining that God is love in the same book here, He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1 John 4:8

This should help us to understand that simply loving Jesus is not sufficient,  we must love others also, abide in love, yes, we must actually dwell in love the scriptures say.  If people truly love Jesus then they will do what he commanded, love one another, for then is when we truly walk in the light!

No man hath seen God at any time.  If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Hereby know we that we dwell in him and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the savior of the world.

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 1 John 4:12-17

Peter too, spoke about, his marvelous light, in 1 Peter 2:9, But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

This marvelous light is not simply a metaphor as we see in the Transfiguration of Christ.

And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. Matthew 17:1-2

This wondrous light, the very light of God, is the very power of God, overflowing, manifesting in the Son and apparently is one of the characteristics of God, Light!

As many of you know, I am the son of a literally illumined minister who while trying to do as Jesus commanded, that is, to love God with all of your heart and love others, became illumined which I told about in, The Light, Commentary on the Light, and in the book, The Realm, chapter 7, The Event.  So, I know by visual confirmation that the light spoken of in the scriptures is not just a metaphor, but is actual light.

Why does this matter?  The reason I mention this is because the light manifested because of loving thoughts, a realization of oneness with God/Christ which shows there is a higher level we can reach.  The same night the light began, he had a feeling of complete harmony and said he felt an overwhelming exuberance, clearly this was a spiritual breakthrough.  It also shows that God knows what you are thinking and responds!  This is huge but is not a surprise or shouldn’t be because the scriptures clearly state that God knows what you are thinking.

I the LORD (capitalized in my Bible) search the heart. I try the reins; even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.  Jeremiah 17:10

So, the believer already knows that God is Light because the scriptures say so and we believe by faith. The ones I am speaking to when I speak of witnessing the light are those who may be on the fence wondering if there is anything to this, God stuff.  I am telling them and the world that God is Light and there is no darkness in Him at all, that this, “stuff”, about God is absolutely true.

I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.  Jesus from John 8:12

Jesus also spoke of us as being, children of the light here.

While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light.  John12:36

This light is the very light of life which the Christ spoke of which must fill our very being, for God is love and light.  Then astonishingly, love grows as we give it away.  The light and the love work together, both as one, so when you are spreading love you are literally sharing the very light of God!  Paul too, along with Jesus, Peter, and John spoke of the light.

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:  Ephesians 5:8

Yes, Paul spoke to the Corinthians, the Ephesians, the Colossians, the Galatians, to all of them he spoke of, walking in the light.  To the Colossians he said.  Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.  Colossians 1:12

Which brings me to another point I have pondered.  Are the halos depicted glowing above the saints an actual light manifestation which occurs when a person is so full of the light of God, the light of life?  I think they probably are.

Of course all of us, science has shown have an, aura, that is, a glow coming from us on a natural level.  Is this enhanced through spirituality when we are aware that God Is in us, Christ Is in us, we are one with the Father, Christ and one another?  It certainly seems this is the mark we are aiming for, being one, as Jesus prayed we would be in John 17:21.

That they all may be one as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.  Jesus from John 17:21

When we actually truly believe the power of God is in us and we are in God, then does a marvelous spiritual breakthrough occur?  It is known that we only use a portion, about 10% of our mind.  What is the rest for?  Is it to use as a modem to connect with God, which is in and through all things?  Just some questions I ponder which I know soon will be answered.

The scriptures too tell us in Revelation that those who overcome and are faithful unto death will receive a crown of life.  John who is the writer, also quoted this as part of his revelation.

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.  Revelation 3:5

I find all of the references about, the light, in the scriptures fascinating and I know that God is Light!  So, let us all be children of the light, helping one another, walking in love.  This is how we do the word, which I spoke of last time.  We share our light with others, being thankful and filled with love for when we are filled with love, then our light shines brightly!

Until next time, light and love to all.  May you all be blessed, filled and empowered!

“Doing”, the Word!

If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.  Deuteronomy 30: 10-14

Early in Jewish history the Torah spoke of, “doing”, the word as you can see in the above scripture reference from the Old Testament which involved the Mosaic Law given to the Israelites by Moses. This was the Old Covenant.  Then, many years later as prophesied, Jesus came saying this:

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.  For verily I say unto you Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Matthew 5:17-18

Jesus then reinforced and clarified what the Jewish writings of old were actually saying because the people would get involved in the technicality of the law instead of the meaning.  He had this to say to the Pharisees when asked by one, who was a lawyer, “Master, which is the great commandment in the law?”  Jesus replied:

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.  Matthew 22:37-40

Jesus tells us in the parable of the sower that the seed is, the word.  That you must get it down into good soil for it to truly grow.  This is what we have to do with the word of God, get it into the depths of your very being so it can grow to giant proportions.  He came performing many miracles, showing us what faith in God can do when you are speaking the word.  In the book of John it tells us Jesus is the very, Word, manifest:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.  The same came for a witness, to bear witnesss of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.  John 1:1-14

It says in the above scripture that he, came unto his own, the Jewish people, but they received him not, but it goes on to say that those who did receive him, his very essence, the words, which were the word of God, and the power of God which was in him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God!  Then it goes on to say even if you believe on his name, that is, the authority within him, you will be born, of God!  This is the re-birth he spoke of for believers!

Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me?  the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself; but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.  Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works sake.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.  If you love me, keep my commandments. John 14: 10-15

This scripture is huge!  Here, Jesus tells us himself how all of the miracles, the works were possible; “it is the Father who dwelleth in me, he doeth the works”.  He tells us that, “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also: and greater works than these shall he do: because I go unto my Father.”  Then he tells us, “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”  Glory to God, this is powerful scripture which helps guide us in our spiritual life.  We are to receive by faith, the words which Jesus spoke, believing, knowing that the power of God is in us, when we believe on him, or believe, he says, because of the very works sake; then, if ye shall ask any thing in my name, He says, I will do it.

I AM the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.  Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.  Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Abide in me, and I in you, As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same brinngeth forth much fruit for without me ye can do nothing.  If a man abide not in me he is cast forth as a branch and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

If ye abide in me and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.  Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.  If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.  These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.  John 15: 1-12

This shows the believer how to achieve the power filled life!  We are to walk, live, abide in love, for it also says in the scriptures, God is love!  Then we are told that we will bear much fruit, for it says, without me you can do nothing.  But with God all things are possible!  Jesus showed us this time and again, repeating that it is your faith which made you whole, your faith which healed you, because of your mighty faith!  Glory to God, we must have faith, for all things come about by faith!

In the book of James, who is believed to have been Jesus brother, he says this.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only deceiving your own selves.  For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass.  For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.  But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. James 1: 22-25

This brings the believer to new heights, living the power- filled life!  Being, doers of the word!  Know, that God is in you, and you in God, with Christ and the power of the Word, which is not just words on a  page, as we have discussed before but is the very, supernatural power of God!

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.  Isaiah 55:11

Until next time, may we all be filled with the Word of God so that we all may be a blessing to one another, loving and doing, being doers of the Word!  Glory to God, light and love to all!
